blog -> twitter -> facebook

I've got some kinda cool integration of my various online tools happening...

This blog publishes a RSS feed. That feed gets read by twitterfeed every hour and any new content gets posted to twitter. Facebook has a twitter app which monitors my twitter account, so that any new tweets get automatically posted as my current status.

The next step is to get this blog to display my facebook status, latest tweets, etc so that the information flow goes in several directions, rather than just one... While being careful to avoid any circular loops which would cause endless echoes!

It raises questions about how I'd like to design the information flow for various audiences. For example, this blog is more serious and 'worky' then the stuff I twitter about, and facebook is total triviality. People reading my blog are unlikely to be interested in what's going on for me over at facebook. So anyone contemplating this sort of thing needs to be careful...

And this is just the beginning. Web 2.0, that much overused term, it just reaching maturity and we're yet to see the full flowering of it's potential (or the shake-out of the hyped up dross, depending on your attitude).
